What a fantastic Thanksgiving we had! So thankful! Wednesday night, I decided last minute I was going to add Oreo Truffles to my "to make" list, and I'm so glad I did! They were so easy, and a big hit! Of course, I found the recipe on pinterest. :-) All you do is blend up a package of double-stuffed oreos, then mix them with 8 oz of cream cheese, roll into 1 inch balls on a cookie sheet covered in wax paper. Then you put them in your freezer for 15 minutes, warm up your dipping chocolate and after 15 minutes of freezer time, you dip them in your chocolate and refrigerate overnight! Easy as that! I added sprinkles to mine, to give them a little color.
I also made a green bean casserole and a pumpkin cheesecake, which both turned out surprisingly good. I'll leave those recipes to another day though. I woke up on Thanksgiving morning to this:
I couldn't have asked for a better way to start the day. Daddy woke up with Averi and fed her and they made me such a sweet picture. Averi wanted to write her name and the date (with his help, of course), and she tried to help with the turkey. I am so blessed with such a sweet fiance, and perfect baby girl! At about 1 or so we went over to my parents so I could finish up my casserole and pie. The day was just perfect with family and my soon-to-be in-laws, I am so glad they joined us this year! Averi and Mason were just perfect little turkeys on their first Thanksgiving day, it was so much fun.
We didn't get home till later in the evening, time really does fly when you are having fun! Today, Averi went over to Grandma and Grandpa's (The Rudisill Grandparents) while David and I knocked out over half our Christmas shopping... A month in advance, that's a change! Tomorrow is my beautiful mother's birthday, and we can't wait to give mommy dearest her present. I guess that's about it for now.. I hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving, we all have so very much to be thankful for!
-Love to you all-
